Leo’s 'source-to-sea' challenge on the river Bure

Hi, my name is Leo and for my 13th birthday I am raising money for the Norfolk Rivers Trust by hiking and kayaking along the river Bure from its source to the sea!

This challenge is one way that I am marking my Bar-mitzvah, by contributing something back to the local community by helping to protect our environment. I was inspired by one of my favourite YouTubers, Ed Pratt, who travelled from source to sea on the river Thames, raising awareness about river conservation. We’ve been watching his journey and now I am ready to begin my own adventure!

I also have been on another difficult journey this year; transitioning to secondary school has not been easy, and this challenge is one way that I am looking after my physical and mental health.
