Leo’s Law was inspired by the heartbreaking loss of a young boy named Leo Towe in Oklahoma, whose life was cut short far too soon at the age of 3 from a fentanyl overdose. His story is one of love, tragedy, and determination to make sure no other child or family has to endure the same pain.
Leo's Law would require DHS to test for fentanyl if it’s involved or suspected in a DHS case.
Leo’s Law seeks to hold agencies accountable, strengthen protections for vulnerable children, and ensure that families have the support and safeguards they deserve. This is more than a bill – it’s a movement for justice, accountability, and change.
We are raising funds to cover outreach, awareness events, advocacy trips, and the resources needed to push this law forward both in Oklahoma and on a national level. State lawmakers are helping draft the legislative wording in Oklahoma already. I’ve been asked to go to Washington DC along with a kid that lost his mom to fentanyl when he was 13 to speak at the “Lost Voices of Fentanyl” rally on October 18th at the Washington monument.
With your help, we can bring Leo’s story to light, keep his memory alive, and save children’s lives.
