Leo's Fight: Your Help Can Heal
Donation protected
Leo Cafe is a 48-year-old guy working in the operating room where he helps save lives. He does a dual role of circulator and scrub. Everyone loves working with him because of his excellent knowledge and skill, and he is warm and friendly to all. He is also a very athletic guy who enjoys skiing and bicycling, basketball. A very handy man who does everything from fixing car troubles to building a house. He is a husband and a father of three, aged 16, 14, and 12 (all are musically gifted and athletic). His wife works part-time to make sure that the kids have someone at home most of the time. Aside from being a provider, he also does all the housework, including cooking. He is a really good cook. He is so witty and has a great sense of humor, always the life of the party. Always looks at the positive side in any situation.
On Thursday, they were out camping when he had a headache which persisted. On Good Friday, confusion was noted, and he was brought to the hospital. He was airlifted because of the huge intracranial bleeding. As of now, surgery is not an option as it will make the situation worse. No choice but conservative management. The healing process would take about 6 months to one year which consist of physical, occupational and speech theraphy, a huge strain on the family physically, emotionally, and financially. I am appealing to help Leo concentrate on recovering and not worry about the financial aspects. A great man deserves this chance to live.
