### Help Leo Fight Pyothorax: Every Donation Counts

Dear Friends,

We’re reaching out to you with heavy hearts to share the story of our beloved ragdoll cat, Leo, who is facing a tough battle for his life. Just shy of his 2nd birthday on June 22, Leo has been diagnosed with pyothorax, a serious condition that occurs when pus builds up in the thoracic cavity, often due to infection. This condition can be life-threatening, and Leo is currently receiving intensive care at NC State ICU.

Since Saturday night, Leo has been under constant medical supervision, in an oxygen chamber with chest tubes inserted on each side to facilitate the drainage of fluid and pus from his lungs. He is receiving lavages and antibiotics to combat the infection, but the journey to recovery is still uncertain. Despite the dedicated care from the veterinary team, Leo is not yet out of the woods, and the expenses are mounting quickly.

We are asking for your support during this challenging time. Every donation, big or small, will help us cover the high costs of Leo’s treatment so he can continue to receive the best care possible. Our goal is to ensure he has the best chance at recovery and can return home to us, where he belongs.
