Last week Lindsey took Leo for a check-up and their World was turn on its head. They learned there was a mass, a Wilm's tumor, on his kidney. As I type this, Leo is in surgery to have it removed. He will be moved to ICU after and chemotherapy will begin. At this time they do not know if Radiation will also be needed. Right now they just need to feel the support of you; the support of their community. Lindsey and Perry both chose careers that help the people here in Mobile, and I know we can show them the love we have for it.
Lindsey has had to refund and cancel all her orders for the foreseeable future. Perry is missing a minimum of 2 weeks at his job as well. The $5,000 goal is just a random figure that may increase or decrease, based on their need as this goes on. The immediate needs would be for a deep clean of their home so they can have their home be the best place for Leo to begin healing. Daily things like food, gas, and bills as well of course. Beyond that, Lindsey is an amazing human being. She's one of my best friends and to know her is to be blessed by her warmth. Her husband Perry is a fabulous force, a teacher, and her biggest supporter. Tahlula and Eloise, their daughters, have larger than life personalities and are impossible to not love. The littlest one is Leo, who celebrated his first birthday in January.
