Leo’s ACL repair
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Irene. On April 25th I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I was only 23 weeks and 5 days gestation. We named her Valerie. She was 1lb 10oz at birth. She was rushed to the NICU where she still remains. We currently have no idea when she will be ready to come home, but that day will eventually come. To say the last several months have been hard is an understatement.
We also have a toddler named Sterling who was born in 2021 who has brought light and love in an abundance we didn’t know could exist. We also have our family dog Leo. Which brings me to why we’re here.
We rescued Leo in 2018. We are his third home. We were told if he was returned again, he would be put down. He did not have the best beginning to life. This has caused him to have extreme separation anxiety. I have done everything possible to accommodate his need to never be left alone. He has been with us through basically everything Jake and I have been through. Leo is the most gentle, loving dog I’ve ever met. You can see his kind soul by looking into his eyes. He recently started limping out of no where. It turns out he has ruptured his ACL and needs surgery as soon as possible.
I am currently not working, all of my time is spent taking care of my babies. I feel that currently everyone is struggling financially. All of us are basically just staying above water. This surgery for Leo is unfortunately going to pull us under. I’m basically out of options at this point. So I’m here asking for your help. Leo is such an important member of our family.
