Stand by Nevida: Lea's Heartfelt Appeal

Hello, my name is Leonora (Lea) Martinez. A friend, my mentor and a person that loves, admires and adores, Nevida Butler.

Nevida has always been a lighthouse in the storms that life ultimately brings. She has been a constant force of strength. Starting at a very young age Nevida was acting as caretaker for her brothers and sisters, then her children and grandchildren. Beyond her immediate family, Nevida has cared for anyone in the community that needed help. Whether it be through her non-profit career or simply helping a neighbor in crisis. Nevida has “shown up” when no one else would answer the call.

Recently, Nevida, has faced some tough times with the recent loss of the love of her life, coupled with personal health issues. She has recently undergone multiple major surgeries and faces months of rehabilitation ahead. We are asking for your help to cover critical and medically necessary equipment to help make her recovery process a little bit easier.

Equipment Needed: American Standard Walk-in bathtub with installation, leg exerciser, safety bars on walls, wheelchair for use outside of home, walker, lift chair, and other misc. items.

Nevida is an independent soul and would never ask anyone for help, but I know that she desperately needs assistance. I thank you for prayers, love and support and I am grateful for all of you.
