Help needed to save wildlife with Leonie the carer
Donation protected
Leonie is a pensioner, caring for and rehabilitating injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife in the Somerset region for over 22 years and Moreton Bay region for 25 years with limited funds. She primarily looks after macropods (kangaroos and wallabies), but will also take in birds and other wildlife that need care. She pours her heart and soul into each animal providing them with the best care possible. This means she often is not able to leave her home for long periods of the day as she often has animals in care with high needs, and often requires help from friends and volunteers. This go-fund-me aims to raise funds to help Leonie pay for veterinary care, medications, and supplies for the animals as she has limited funds to cover these.
We understand that this is after Christmas and we are currently in a high-cost-of-living crisis but any little bit counts, or you could volunteer your time. Leonie is also always in need of volunteers (animal care and home maintenance) and more joey pouches for the sewists out there! Please get in contact with Leonie for more information about volunteering and sewing joey pouches.
