In Loving Memory of Leonid A. Zhukov
Donation protected
Leonid A. Zhukov was born in Vancouver, Washington on November 17, 2001 to Andrey and Irina Zhukov. Leo was the youngest member of 11 siblings. He was born a perfectly healthy baby boy, so peacefully and calm his first day of life. Things took a turn when on the second night, while still in the hospital, Leo was all of a sudden very restless and cried all night long, unable to find any comfort for him. This was the beginning of a very difficult and confusing time for Leo and the whole Zhukov family. Unfortunately, Leo suffered his whole life of 22 years going from hospital to hospital, seeing so many different doctors and specialists, hoping to find answers to ultimately bring some sort of peace and comfort to his daily life. Doctors often had no answers, diagnoses or solutions for the Zhukov family for what was happening or had happen to Leo. Often times during Leo’s life, he would cry for weeks all day and night from great deals of pain and discomfort, with nothing helping him. His parents, brothers and sisters would often take turns holding and rocking Leo at all hours, just to do anything possible to ease his pain, discomfort and insomnia. Finally, in the last month of Leo’s life, doctors diagnosed him with an extremely rare genetic disease, NACC1. NACC1 is rare gene that only about 50 people on earth exist with, currently there is no treatment for this diagnoses. The last year of Leo’s life here on earth was the most difficult time for Leo and the whole family. Watching Leo with extreme discomfort and unmanageable amounts of pain with no medication to help. Doctors prescribed dozens of medications in attempts to aid Leo’s situation but in the end nothing ever truly worked or gave any relief for Leo. On May 2, 2024 surrounded in prayer and love with his beloved family, Leo peacefully went to Heaven. We know Leo is now pain free, walking and smiling in the arms of our Heavenly Father. During this time, we ask if you can bless the Zhukov family in prayer for peace and comfort in this difficult time of losing their beloved child and brother. If you have it in your heart to help financially to help cover the funeral costs, anything would be greatly appreciated. May God bless your hearts.
