Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence
Léonce Mégie School ( F.I.C.) in La Vallée de Jacmel, Haiti, is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary—a milestone that honors a century of dedication to education, community, and growth. Founded in 1926, the school has been a cornerstone for generations, shaping the lives of students who have gone on to become leaders in nearly every sphere of Haitian society. This centennial is not just a celebration of the past, but a commitment to building a brighter future for the Valléenne community.
As we mark this historic occasion, we pay tribute to the visionaries who made it possible, including Reverend Father Bonneau and former Deputy Léonce Mégie. Their leadership and devotion laid the foundation for an institution that has grown from offering primary instruction to providing both general education and vocational training. Today, the school stands as one of the best-known centers of learning in the region, recognized for its triple focus on instruction, education, and evangelization.
With your support, we aim to modernize Léonce Mégie School and ensure it continues to offer high-quality services for generations to come. Our centennial project will create new opportunities for students, from a modern library and multimedia room to improved classrooms and expanded facilities. Every contribution helps us provide the tools, spaces, and inspiration our students need to thrive. Join us in shaping the next century of excellence for our school and our community.

Dear Alumni, Friends, and Benefactors,
Greetings!
Léonce Mégie School F.I.C., founded in 1926—the first public school in our region to reach its centennial milestone after Saint John the Baptist School in 2010—is preparing to celebrate 100 years of educational commitment. This anniversary, far from being a mere formality, represents a historic moment: a century of service to the children of La Vallée. It is a shared history of dedication, progress, and success for every generation.
In a spirit of gratitude and renewal, this centennial is also an invitation to help the school continue to shine, honor the legacy of our predecessors, and build the future. This is the vision that the Centennial Committee, together with Groupe CarFundMé and its partners, seeks to highlight throughout this jubilee year.
We warmly invite your generosity—each according to your means—to contribute to the success of this historic celebration. Your support will help strengthen the mission of the school and ensure it continues to serve generations to come.
Together, let us prepare a bright future for Léonce Mégie School! Thank you for all that you have already done and for your ongoing commitment to the education of the children and youth of La Vallée de Jacmel.
