Leona's path to recovery

Hey there! I'm Leona Chisholm neice and with her blessings I've started this gofundme.

My aunt Leona is going through a medical emergency and could use a little help. Leona is a kind and gentle soul that would help anyone in their time of need and now she needs our help.

Last week she had episodes of weakness in her legs. Unsure of the cause this prompted visits to Inverness and Cheticamp E.R. which showed she had a brain bleed.

She had a brain surgery completed where 3 burr holes were drilled to relieve pressure on brain and remove clots.

The recovery will be slow and steady.

She will not be able to work or drive for an indefinite period of time. Initial healing will be slow and there will be specialist reviews in a few months.

Leona works from home on a contract basis meaning she does not have medical coverage for her healing time . She also works a few hours a week at the Coady Tompkins Library but the minimum hours don't provide for sick leave .

Any little bit will help relieve the burden of day to day bills and ease her recovery.

Prayers, positive thoughts and energy will help her too.

She's in great spirits but still very tired and sore post op.
