My brother Len, his wife Renae and their two young daughters Liberty and Dagny lost their home and leather shop to a fire on Friday May 3rd, 2019. Leonard and Renae own Leonard LeatherWorks, and their leather shop is their livelihood. Their little leather shop in the woods of NW Ontario sustains their family, to lose both their home and their business is devastating. Len is a skilled leather craftsman with over 30 years of experience and is sought out for his meticulous and beautiful work, as well as his expertise. Over the last several years, Len and Renae have painstakingly built their home and an improved leather shop by hand, to better accommodate their new family and their growing list of satisfied customers. Len lost his tools, stamps, inventory, and cash for purchasing new raw goods to work with. My brother and I are both business owners and we enjoy supporting each other in our endeavours. I can’t imagine having to start from scratch. It is my hope that we can help Leonard and Renae get started on rebuilding their home for their two girls and help get their little leather shop in the woods back up and running.
