In loving memory of Len and Trish Rolfson.

Hello, we are Evan & Scott Rolfson and today we are launching a funding initiative for our parents Len & Trish who both passed away in 2024.

We lost our mother in July to a lengthy battle with cancer. Then, unexpectedly, three months later, we also lost Dad to cancer, too. Losing our parents has left a hole in our hearts and in in the hearts of all that knew them.

Our parents were amazing individuals that were always there for us. They were kind and loving and taught us values and life lessons that will stay with us forever. We would like to remember and honor their incredible legacy by creating a lasting tribute in Assiniboine Park, a place they dearly loved.

Beyond our family, Mom and Dad touched many lives in the community with their unconditional love and unwavering support. Our mother was a nurse for over forty years and Dad served the public working with the government of Manitoba.

Mom and Dad were always there to lend a hand, offer a kind word or simply listen. Whether it was through their active participation in local events or the countless small acts of kindness they performed daily, they made a lasting impact on those around them.

Assiniboine Park was a special place for them, and we spent countless afternoons and weekends there, enjoying nature and each other's company. Our father was also an avid runner and, up until last year, he ran every Manitoba Marathon since it’s inception in 1979, and his training took him through the park often. A memorial bench here feels like the perfect way to keep their memory alive, offering a special space for reflection and connection for everyone who visits.

Today, we're raising funds to make this memorial bench a reality. Your generous contributions will help us create a space where their spirit can continue to inspire and comfort others. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to this goal.
