Over the past two and a half years, Len lived at Silverado Memory Care, where he was cared for with patience, dignity, and love by an extraordinary team at Silverado as he faced the challenges of dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.

The care he received at Silverado made a profound difference in his final years. The Silverado team’s compassion, gentleness, and respect helped him live with comfort and dignity through an incredibly difficult stage of life.

In lieu of flowers, our family has created this page to express our gratitude to those who cared for him. 100% of the proceeds will be directed to the Silverado Holiday Fund — a long-standing tradition that provides holiday bonuses to the nurses, caregivers, culinary aides, laundry aides, and maintenance staff. These are some of the most demanding and essential roles in memory care, and their work often goes unseen. Each year, Silverado hosts a celebration for them with lunch, games, and a highlight — the distribution of family-funded holiday bonuses, which make it possible for many to buy gifts for their own families.
