On October 2nd, our community lost a cheerful and vibrant soul when my father passed away in his battle with cancer. Leon passed away while on life support for a disease that developed while his cancer was being treated. He had been battling leukemia for the past 2 years and died shortly after receiving a bone marrow transplant to eliminate the cancer cells. Unfortunately, his organs failed following the surgery. He was the proud father of several children and leaves behind many siblings and family.

As we are grieving this loss, my family is coming together in need of support for the future. The funds raised will go directly to funeral expenses and the immediate family for future care, education, and needs for the children. My mother had to quit her job 2 years ago to take care of my father as he started cancer treatment. For the past 2 years, she was his caretaker, and now our family is in need of funds as she looks for a job. My mother is still taking care of my little sister who's eight and her baby cousin who is twelve.
