This is an unfortunate reason to be asking friends, acquaintances, strangers, and family for donations. Our nephew’s last words to his grandmother were, “ Don’t eat anything grandma... I’m gonna go get us some papitas (fries). “ Leon Ryan Jones was a kind, decent, generous and hard working soul who loved helping people. He had a contagious laugh and we all enjoyed his company. Unbelievably, his life was taken prematurely by a vicious crime that is yet to be solved and motive determined by police detectives. Our hearts go out to his mother, father, and siblings who at this time are experiencing unimaginable grief, pain and confusion over their loss. Leon was determined to be braindead on July 9th, but as evidence of his kind and generous spirit, in the early morning hours of July 13th he was able to donate his organs to help save the lives of 4 people in need. The goal is to raise $5,000 for funeral costs and services. We appreciate any amount in your donation and thank you for your compassion, empathy, and generosity at this very sad and challenging time in our family’s history.
