Leon Rollerson M D Anderson Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Terry Pleasant, and I am raising money for my brother-in-law, Leon Rollerson.
Leon is 74 and a lifelong resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His father, Lloyd Reed Rollerson, was a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 in the historic Greenwood District. He became a pharmacist and opened a drug store, Meharry Drug, on Greenwood Avenue. Myrtle Rollerson, Leon’s mother, was an educator in the Tulsa Public School system and later owned two private schools.

He has been a significant force in the Tulsa music scene for 50 years as a superb jazz and funk bassist. Leon Rollerson’s accomplishments include a music career spanning over 50 years, an honorary doctorate from Tulsa University, 30 years of a weekly local TV show, community service programs, countless charity events, and a leading proponent of preserving the history of Tulsa. He has spent his life in Tulsa, working in the community and supporting the local economy. Now it's time to help him.

This GoFundMe campaign is to help support an outstanding member of our community. Leon has stage 4 colorectal cancer.
He is seeking an experimental treatment at Houston's University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. $20,000 is needed to cover travel, lodging, and expenses for a two-week stay in Houston. It is urgent that we receive funds by June 24 so that he can begin his scheduled treatment  starting June 28, 2022 . We ask that you please donate generously. Thank you for your contribution.
