Support for Leon Miller

Hi I’m Tina Ghallami and I’ve created this fundraiser for my Uncle, Leon Miller.  Yesterday Leon had his liver transplant!!! He’s doing well, been up and has walked. We are forever grateful and thankful to the individual that made this decision to become a donor, and their family.  We know she was 65 and passed of a head injury, same age as Leon.  We have him because of someone’s generosity.  We thank God, the donor, surgeons, nurses and staff , and all that have supported him.  All that said, he is still in need of financial help. The bills for the treatments up to this point and now following this surgery are tremendous, not to mention the every day living bills while out of work on disability.  Since going on disability his income has shrunk by almost $1000 a month. 

The donation from this GoFundMe and his benefit concert last October has kept him a float this long and has been so greatly appreciated.  He won’t ask for help!!! I will, I’m not shy.  

He has 6-8 weeks of healing to do before he can be left alone.  I will be staying with him over the next month with breaks from family and friends. He will have a visiting nurse once home  as well as multiple follow up visits. As you can see the bills will be simply overwhelming.  This is where you all can come in, please.  Give what you can … $7.00 pays the parking for 1 visit at Lahey Hospital. $25 will pay the copay for a month of his current medication, his new meds will be way more and he will have a lot more of them .  Anything will help with gas to and from the hospital.  These are simply suggestions.
