Leon Allbright

Hi, my name is Anna Stuntz. I am the daughter of Leon Allbright and Luisa Allbright. It is with a heavy heart that I write this message for the world.

7 years ago, Leon was diagnosed with Granulomatosis (Wegener’s) which destroyed all of his kidney function and in return filtered down a list of other complications. My mother, Luisa Allbright, dropped everything to be his caretaker and learn everything possible in order to administer home hemo dialysis specialized just for him. And for 7 years, 5 days a week, she did just that without complaints or hesitation. After being let go of her job 4 years ago due to his condition and crazy dialysis schedule/doctor appointments, still, nothing has brought her or him down. Both of them lived every day to their fullest and juggled every inconvenience with such a positive outlook. However, just recently, Leon has had even more illnesses pop up. The worst of which is Calciphylaxis, ultimately brought on by the lifesaving dialysis he needed for 7 years. Calciphylaxis is an extremely painful terminal disease that has spread quickly. He has been in ICU for a month but without a treatment and a failing heart, he is in the last couple days of his life.

Medical bills have piled up tremendously. Leon was on disability which funded their life for the bare necessities but unfortunately when he passes, my mother will receive absolutely nothing. She has given up everything in order to care for him and always put him first. She is an incredibly selfless woman when it comes to everyone and everything in life. She has never given up but this next chapter of her life will be the hardest yet. I am setting up this fundraiser to help her with the inevitable medical bills, cremation cost, and day to day life expenses so she has just one less thing to have to worry while grieving the loss of her husband of 20 years.

Anyone who knows either of them knows they were soulmates, born on this earth to be in each others lives. They have been the most positive and loving couple since day one. It’s such a devastating end to everything. Please consider any donation, no matter how small to help my mother through this difficult time.
