Leo was born with a rare genetic disorder call Wolf Hirshhorn Syndrome with additional depletion call Adam’s-Oliver. This is very rare with both genetic depletions. He has range from physical disabilities, intellectual and medical conditions. He was born with a hole in the back of the head with no bone or skin call Cutis Aplasia. The skin has healed but he will need bone graft when he gets older. He also has scoliosis with parts of the spine not fused. He has Hypospadias of the urethra and narrow rectum. He also has an area of the heart that will need to be fixed if it doesn’t heal in the next month.  

He was born early at 37 weeks  at 3lbs .5 oz and was in the NICU for several months. Leo was able to come for a short period of time. He started to have difficulty breathing at night. He was 2x worse than the highest grade of sleep apnea.

He is currently in the hospital due to a narrow airway. They tried to put in a trach to help his breathing. The Trach did not fit him due to his small airway. They were unable to find one to fit. He is currently on a vent waiting for a custom trach to be made. During this time, Leo coded several times. They were successful in bringing him back but still struggles on the vent. They also learned that he is having seizures.  

With these issues, Caitlan is unable to leave his side. Eric tries to be with him as much as he can. Caitlan has tried to work from home but it is difficult. Eric just started a new job with no time built up to take off. He has a long road ahead of him and will be in the hospital for awhile. They are needing help with their expenses (gas, food, utilities, hospital bills etc. ). They are hating to ask for help but it has come to a time that they need it.
