Hi, I'm Brian,

I'm in an awkward position and feel embarrassed having to ask for help but I am hoping some kind people can come to our rescue. I currently live alone with my 2 wonderful dogs Leo and Rosie who are my world and provide me with support and love that is unconditional and so needed. This last 12 months to 3 years have been a stressful time for me as some of you may be aware, Recent diagnosis of ADHD and level 1 Autism has seen me put on Medication that is having a positive effect, Also Suffering from CPTSD and Depresssion and anxiety for most of my life which has led me to struggle to get some basic things achieved through my life, the recent diagnosis has given me a better understanding of myself and Im learning to be more gentle to myself and also being myself, Its a fact, I've been masking for many years trying to be someone that I'm simply not, its a lot to look back on and going through what's referred to as the grieving stage, looking back at the what ifs, aaah its a messy lot. Slowly coming to terms with it all.

Recently I started some volunteer work raising awareness with a wonderful charity named Pet Medical Crisis. AKA PMC. Was a thrill to be asked and to finally complete a song and video for them on their behalf to thank all their kind donors, First thing like that i've mananged to complete in years, ever actually. I've been working on a book about my Story and My dear Brother Des who passed away nearly 4 years ago. This has been therapeutic yet very Draining as well, I shall not be swayed, Ive had some wonderful support through this journey, Sad to say there's been people I thought were friends who upon hearing about some of my trauma and life story it was too much for them and I never heard from them again, yet on the other hand I've met some incredible understanding people who listen and are a breath of fresh air in helping me move forward and survive in a very tough existance. First world problems sure but they are so real and huge to me.

Recently Ive had a lot of medical issues personally that have been a challenge and I'm wading though as best I can. Yesterday though I got some horrible news that has rattled me. Taking my Darlings for their vaccination and a checkup, A lump that has recently appeared on Leos foot caused huge concern for the Vet. She suggested i get it checked immediately. I'm on the DSP and was cashless after paying rent and still some outstanding utilty bills still due. I spoke to PMC and they very kindly arranged an appointment to have a biopsy for Leo yesterday afrternoon. The results were inconclusive as the vet couldnt get a proper sample to test as such, the next step is to

have the Lump surgically removed in 2 seperate stages which will cost $2,500.

PMC are able to help with $1000 of this and Im hoping some kind souls can help too.

As some of you may be aware, I received a payout a few years back from the Christian Brothers as compensation for being abused by one of their congregation who is still in Jail as a result of abusing me and numerous other children. I've managed to fritter all this away on a huge guitar collection and have learned that the ADHD and Autism has made me a person who can spend/waste money very easily till its all gone, something I've done throughout my life, Illicit Drugs, Gambling were all poor choices I've had addictions to and have learned about my impulsive behaviour.

I could try to sell of some guitars to raise these funds, it would be at a loss and I'm so bloody attached to them too it's not something I want to do, I'm sounding greedy I know, but I'd love to keep my collection and get Leos surgery done asap.
