It’s time for us to help a man who has spent his life helping us!

As a 911 Senior Dispatcher, Trainer and Mentor from 1986-2020 ,providing the calm and reassuring voice on the other end of the phones and radio, Leo Dooley worked as a first responder to ensure the aid needed was sent.

Even after retiring in June of 2020, Leo has worked part time as support for a local PD as well.

Asking for help himself, is not in his nature, yet today Leo needs OUR help to cover medical bills and the prosthetic leg that will give him the freedom to continue his life of service.

Every day 911 dispatchers are faced with hearing the most traumatic moments of a person’s life. From victims in burning homes to burglaries in progress, suicide attempts, armed robberies, automobile fatalities and even murders – dispatchers are expected to stay calm under pressure while handling some of the most stressful circumstances.

Dispatchers like Leo, work to coordinate emergency services.

Not only did Leo work as a dispatcher, he spent the majority of his years working overnight, making sacrifices that the NIH notes contribute to poor health outcomes.

A Scout Master, Assistant Scout Master, and Merit Badge Counselor from 1995 - 2009 and AYSO Board Member and Assistant Coach for 15 years, a father and grandfather Leo has given so much of himself to others.

Today, let’s show Leo we can answer the call and respond to his need, help him cover mounting medical bills, and provide funds necessary to ensure he obtains the prosthetic device he needs to get back to a normal and productive life.
