Hi! We’re big fans of Leo Lenton over here. He arrived in the world on November 18, 2022 to his mom and dad Emily Nadal and Kyle Lenton. He was born at 28 weeks, carried lovingly by his Aunt Megan until some complications required an early delivery. He currently lives in the NICU where the doctors and nurses (and Leo!) are working hard to ensure he can grow strong enough over the next three months to come home with his mom and dad. Emily and Kyle are there every day, reading to him and singing to him and telling him all about the wonderful people in his life who can’t wait to meet him!

You may already know about some of the complications Leo is overcoming that led to his early delivery. His abdomen was filling with fluid due to a urinary track blockage, and multiple attempts to drain the fluid did not result in a long term solution. Each procedure also increased the risk for complications, infections, and preterm labor. After the fourth procedure, Emily, Kyle, Megan, and their doctors were all in agreement that Leo would have the best chance to grow and develop once delivered.

We’re all so grateful and overjoyed that Leo has now been delivered safely and is getting attentive care. Each day still brings challenges, as doctors work to resolve his blockages and keep him stable enough for his body to grow and develop enough to survive without continuous medical intervention. This critical care to get Leo in his finest fighting shape to come home is estimated to reach up to $20,000 out of pocket. Lots of our family and friends have asked how they can contribute, so we’ve made this site as a place where you can offer support that goes directly toward the cost of Leo’s medical care.

We all cannot wait to welcome Leo home and are grateful for all the forms of love and support that have been given to Emily, Kyle, and their little lionheart! Thank you for being part of their community❤️
