Leo’s prognosis is Lymphoma

Hi my name is Ronny, I have an 11 month old Staffy, the back story to this is, anyone that has met Leo, knows he is the most sweet and gentle dog considering his size. He came home at 8 weeks back in October of 2020 after moving into a new house the same year. He filled the house with Joy and We love him so much, he means the world. Leo is also sensitive to a lot of things, new treats, food, and sometimes environmental changes. He really knows how to please and show affection, absolutely beautiful dog and it saddens me of what has recently happened and what he’s going through. We don’t know exactly how it had happened but doing some back tracking, we switched his food from puppy to adult food, the following week he was excessively thirsty and urinating a lot. He is fully potty trained and doesn’t have accidents in the house, he can even hold in his diarrhea one time his stomach was upset. But what I thought was strange is, a fully trained dog had peed in his crate and wet his bed. He started avoiding his food and did not want to eat so I tried to make sure he would eat it so he can still have energy. From Saturday going to petapalooza he seemed fine, and the week after we noticed Leo getting slimmer so we took him to the vet for blood work and a urinalysis. After leaving the vet he was prescribed with two antibiotics for a UTI which he does not have but the results came back on Friday and it said he’s in kidney failure so we brought him to an emergency vet so they can keep him over night to monitor him to see if the kidneys would flush out and concentrate the urine as he wasn’t able to. I’m asking for help mostly to cover vet bills while we wait for updates on how he is doing and what the next steps are. His birthday is august 22nd and I had something special planned for him and I hope he gets through this as he is still a baby.Thank you for your time.
