Leo is 5,he needs an insulin pump. Newly diagnosed Type 1

Hi,my name is Anne,on the 29/ 08 /2025,my lovely, funny,cheeky grandson was airlifted to Southampton hospital in a seriously ill condition. Leo was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes. The paramedics,Critical Care Dr's and Air Ambulance fought like Trojans to save Leo we are so thankful. This is a shock to us all not least my little Leo. Leo was transferred to Poole Hospital after being stabilised at Southampton Hospital. The challenge now is to stabilise his sugar levels,Leo hated having his finger pricked and was very distressed in hospital. He hasnt gone back to school in Moordown, Bournemouth yet,he needs to recover from the trauma and adapt to life knowing everything he wants to eat he needs an injection. The Diabetes Specialist will visit the,school on Monday to compile a Care Plan to keep him safe at school. He is on the list to receive an insulin pump,however his mum has been told it is a postcode lottery!

The reason I am trying this Go Fund me is to see if we can raise funds to have the insulin pump,especially whilst at school. I would be grateful and need to try.
