Dear Friends and Community,
We are heartbroken to share the news that our dear friends, Matt and Ciara, recently lost their baby boy, Leo Ford Glasgow. Losing a child is a heartbreaking experience that no parent should ever have to go through. Our friends are devastated by the loss of their little one, and we want to do everything we can to support them during this difficult time. We've set up this GoFundMe campaign to help them cover the expenses associated with their loss and to give them the time and space they need to heal.
The funds raised will go directly to the Glasgows to help them with any immediate financial needs, such as funeral expenses, burial costs, and time off work. It will also give them the opportunity to take the time they need to grieve and process their loss without the added stress of financial burdens.
We know that no amount of money can ever fully heal the pain of losing a child, but we hope that this campaign will help ease some of the financial stress that comes with such a devastating loss. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference in Matt and Ciara’s life during this challenging time.
In the event the campaign receives more than the designated goal, Matt and Ciara are committed to donating excess funds to The Children’s Minnesota - Cardiovascular Care Unit and the Ronald McDonald House. These places played an integral role in supporting the three of them during Leo's incredible fight.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family to help us reach our goal. Let’s all strive to Live like Leo, a life full of LOVE, JOY, and RESILIENCE!

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.

Leo Ford Glasgow
March 12, 2023 - April 22, 2023
Leo came roaring into the world on March 12 at 10:33 am, measuring 7.1 pounds and 19 inches.
He was immediately LOVED by many. Leo was the firstborn child to Ciara and Matt and the first grandchild on both sides. Mom and Dad shared an immediate and unconditional love with Leo. Leo was an easy favorite on the cardiovascular floor of Children's MN - Minneapolis, partly due to his sassy attitude, specifically the side-eye his nurses came to know, but primarily due to his warmth and cuteness that was seen by all.
He brought so much JOY to everyone that met him. Mom and Dad's hearts melted each time he opened his big blue eyes. It was his way of letting them know he was okay. Leo would do so many little things to make his parents smile, and each interaction was cherished.
The name Leo is the Latin word for Lion, and that's just who he was. Leo taught everyone so much about strength, courage, bravery, and, most of all, RESILIENCE. He showed that every day as he fought.
Leo passed peacefully and comfortably in his parents' arms on April 22 at 9:34 am. He was prenatally diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and passed away due to post-op complications.
Each day he was here, he was told how loved he was, how much joy he brought to the world, and how resilient he was.
Everyone should "Live like Leo," a life full of LOVE, JOY, and RESILIENCE.

Leo is survived by his parents, Matthew and Ciara Glasgow; grandparents Joe and Debbie Wohlford, Mike and Deb Glasgow; uncles Jared Wohlford and Michael Glasgow; and numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends.
