My dad (Leo Banks) hadn't felt 100% for a long time. His regular doctor just kept brushing him off and sent him home with nothing after each visit. He never even got the referrals for the specialists he requested. On Father's Day he finally couldn't take it anymore and went to the ER. It wasn't until then that a doctor finally ordered a blood test to screen him for cancer. And, unfortunately, the results were not good. After some additional tests he was told he has stage 4 prostate cancer and it has spread to his bones.  I'm asking for donations (any amount is greatly appreciated) to help support him during his treatment. To help ease the financial burden of what treatment and care cost. The loss of income from him being out of work and from my mom being home to take him to his appointments, testing, treatments, etc.  My dad is a very proud man and will probably not be happy to hear I've asked for this help on his behalf. But he is a good, caring man and he needs this help right now. I know he's put a smile on a lot of people's faces when he's been there to tell you a joke or do something goofy. He's been there to help others with car trouble. He's been there for some as a mentor or for advice. Heck, he's even been there to grab something from a top shelf when one of us shorties needed it! So please, be there for him when he needs it and take a moment to donate. Even just a few dollars will help more than you can imagine.
