Hi my name is Sarah and our boys Leo and Samson are fundraising for their buddy Charlie and our godson.

Charlie was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) also known as half a heart. Charlie has had 3 open heart surgeries at 4 days old, 5 months old and 4 years old. These were a set 3 stages of surgery to try and help re-plumb Charlie's heart to manage off a single ventricle.

Charlie had his last open heart surgery in November 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic. After further tests the only other option for Charlie now is a heart transplant. Their transplant journey has started in Newcastle. This is over 200 miles from them.

Charlie has big dreams to travel but hasn't been allowed to travel on a plane. Charlie loves exploring, his family are fundraising to buy a Camper van so they can explore places but also this van will help with reducing hotel costs during hospital stays.

Charlie's family would also love to raise money to buy Charlie a wheelchair that is better suited to all terrain which will help with his adventures!

Leo and Sam wanted to help fundraising, they've pledged to walk a mile a day in June on top of their cricket, football and tennis clubs! They really want to help Charlie achieve some of his dreams. Charlie is our hero and we would do anything for him and his family.
