Please allow me to introduce you to my son, Lenon Ford - when fighting, Lenon Zulu Ford; he’s an ambitious, driven and loving 29 year old. As a child and into his adulthood, he has always desired to help people! He had a pretty-good upbringing, participating in sports such as Pop Warner football, and went on to play in High school, then ultimately began pursuing wrestling.
Lenon attended and joined Crossroads Church where he served as a Youth Minister and later provided Security for the Senior Pastor. Lenon trained and fought at Tuff N Nuff in Las Vegas, NV. It was during his Pro debut when he discovered he had an issue with the left ventricle of his heart abruptly ending his long-term dream to be a professional MMA Fighter.
Lenon has a variety of work experience, including building Tuff Sheds, warehouse shipping and receiving and building CT machines...constantly working hard and drawn to those jobs that required strength and stamina. In addition to his work experience, he also served as a youth volunteer at #153 Fire Department in Covina, CA.
Recently, Lenon encountered some significant health challenges. A few weeks ago he experienced some severe pain in his ribs and back. Not thinking much of it, he didn't see a Doctor right away. When he finally decided to see a Doctor (Saturday, 11/14), he received the devastating news he has Cancer and lesions on his spine that have spread to ribs 8 and 9.
As you might know, the expenses associated with cancer treatment are significant and the reason we're reaching out to humbly ask for your help. We’d like to raise 75,000 to help cover the treatment and medication costs. I realize this is a large sum to raise, but no amount is too small, it all adds up in the end. Please know whatever you can give to help my son is sincerely appreciated.
