Lenny's Crooked Smile Fund
Donation protected
I adopted Lenny when he was 7 months old from a shelter that brings cats up from Texas to avoid euthanization. I don't know what Lenny's life was like before I adopted him, all I know is that he is the sweetest little guy. He is so friendly to everyone he meets, and is the biggest snuggler (the kind that wraps himself around your neck) - especially with the people he loves the most. He is fast, curious, smart, and a little sassy at times but he looks at you with so much love in his eyes, you can hardly stand it.
A little while into having Lenny, I noticed he didn't have an adult canine tooth on the bottom right side of his mouth. Over time, that lack of tooth turned into a swollen mass that makes him look like he has a crooked smile. A couple vets I went to weren't able to tell me what was going on, so I was referred to a vet clinic that specializes in dentistry. Today was Lenny’s appointment and I found out that he either has a cyst caused by the tooth never erupting through the gums or a tumor (that could potentially be cancer). Either way, he will need to go in next week for blood work, a CT and need surgery. The diagnostics and treatment are very expensive, but necessary so we can understand what the vet team needs to do.
I am not good at asking for help, but Lenny needs this surgery and I am a college student and I do need help to pay for his treatment. He is only one year old, and I have waited so long to adopt a cat. I always knew I was going to adopt when I was living on my own, but I didn’t know that I would find my best friend in a furry little bub with a crooked smile. I want to make sure he is taken care of and I would appreciate anything you can give to help make sure this little guy can smile for a long long time.
