Lenny Gomez and Family

Leandro “Lenny” J. Gomez, 65, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Born in Cuba, he resided in Mahwah, NJ, before moving to Toms River, NJ as a full-time resident in 2010. Lenny was an Executive Chef for Apple Ridge Country Club in Mahwah, NJ for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Sergio, Sr., and Antonia (Ramos) Gomez, as well as his brothers; Sergio, Jr., and Eddie Gomez. Lenny will be forever held in the hearts of his beloved family; his wife of 44 years Joan (Semperkiewicz) Gomez, his son Alex and his wife Nyssa Gomez of Toms River, NJ, his daughter Lindsay Gomez of Trenton, NJ, his sister Lumi Hernandez, and two cherished grandsons; Donovan and Benjamin. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 1 to 3pm at the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 3pm at the funeral home. Committal will be celebrated privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to aid the family in funeral expenses.
