Hi, my name is Barrington Walker, born and raised in Lennox Bigwoods, Westmoreland. My family and I are raising funds to support our Bigwoods community following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.

While my family and I have been fortunate enough to still have our home, the vast majority of the homes in the community have been completely washed away or demolished in the storm. Many people are living on the streets or under tarp with no access to food, water, transportation, or other basic necessities such as diapers, clean clothing and hygiene products.

Lennox Bigwoods is a small deep rural farming community that is often left behind in large scale support following disasters or doesn't receive support at all. We want to ensure that our community has the basic necessities as we all work to rebuild.

With your donations we will help the community repair roofs, rebuild homes, provide food and clothing. In addition to funds donated through GoFundMe, we will accept donation drop offs of nonperishable food items, personal hygiene products, clothing, and items for repairs (e.g., tarps).
