Lending a hand to Mary post stroke

My mom, Mary Lacy, suffered an incredibly unexpected stroke February 1st of this year. If you know my mom, she's hardworking, always is the first one to take care of others and she hates asking for help. She's had to be so strong for so many years of her life and now it's my turn to help her and be the support that she currently needs.

My mom was a completely independent business owner when she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke back in February. After 10 days in the hospital and an additional two weeks in inpatient rehab and ongoing outpatient rehab, she's working through right side weakness of her arm and leg. There were no indicators prior to this happening. For what we have been told now, the cause is unclear and we can only focus on living life in the new normal. With the new normal comes some cost of medical bills and adjustments that need to be made for everyday life. My biggest desire is for my mom to focus on her healing and to not allow stress to affect her recovery. Because my mom is self employed, she wants to get back to work as soon as she can and she has been going into her office five days a week since the middle of March. The time after a stroke is so imperative for recovery and by creating this fund, I hope her mind can be off work long enough to see her arm and leg move again.
