Lending A Hand: Support Mark Militello & Family
Donation protected
This past February, Mark was admitted to the ER for treatment of a stomach virus. During his stay, he experienced abdominal pain, prompting the medical team to perform a precautionary CT scan. The scan revealed a mass that required further evaluation and he was referred to a urology specialist, and after several appointments, the urologist confirmed the incidental finding: a lesion on Mark’s left kidney, consistent with Renal Cell Carcinoma.
While the diagnosis was unexpected and difficult to process, the early detection has given Mark and his family hope. He is scheduled to have the lesion surgically removed on May 1st, followed by a 4–6 week recovery period. Everyone remains optimistic for a full recovery and a clean bill of health.
Mark is a devoted husband, loving father to two daughters, Fire Marshal at the University of Rochester, and Deputy Chief at the Victor Fire Department, where he proudly serves as a third-generation volunteer firefighter. Given the physical demands and environmental risks of his work and service, his doctors noted that diagnoses like this are unfortunately not uncommon.
We are reaching out in hopes of raising funds to support the Militello family with the significant and ongoing medical expenses related to his surgery and post-operative care. Additionally, your support will help ease the burden of daily expenses during his recovery.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated!
