Aloha Friends and Family,
My name is Jade Reynon. I’m reaching out to my community to show up for a family who I’ve watched selflessly show up for countless others time and time again.
In April of this year, my childhood best friend, Ivory Balangitao, experienced some odd symptoms which prompted her to seek medical attention. Being diagnosed with extremely low iron, without an identifiable cause, she began blood transfusions.
Treatments started in May and ended in July. However, upon noticing some recurring symptoms in recent weeks, Ivory went back to her doctor and found that she needs to undergo treatment once again, starting next week. For the duration of her treatments and through June of next year, Ivory will be under doctor’s orders to reduce her work days to 2-3 days.
Matt, her husband, currently works 2 jobs. Ivory works when she is able to for their two children, Faith and Jade.
As you may know, their youngest daughter Jade is Autistic, non-verbal, and has been diagnosed with ZTTK Syndrome, an ultra-rare, neurodevelopmental disease that affects multiple bodily systems and functions. Because of this, medical specialists, educational services, and emergency hospital visits are all commonplace in their daily lives.
While Ivory and Matt are incredibly hardworking, their circumstances and Ivory’s upcoming treatments have presented them with great financial hardship.
This is where you come in. I am humbly asking anyone who feels compelled to give of your financial resources to help this family who many of us love so dearly. Contributions will go toward rent, daily expenses, utility bills, medical bills, and anything else needed to keep their family safe and in good health.
Anything is appreciated. I would love to see the Balangitao ohana be held up and supported as they have done for so many others in their time of need.
Thank you and God Bless you all.
