Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,

I’m reaching out today with a humble heart to share the story of my uncle, Santos. To know him is to know one of the hardest-working, most generous people you could ever meet. He’s always been the first to offer help, no matter what he had going on. Right now, life has handed him an incredibly tough chapter, and he needs our help to turn the page.

After a prolonged period of illness, Santos is back in the hospital and has been unable to work for some time. This has, as you can imagine, created a severe financial crisis for him. The most pressing issue is that he needs to move out of his current living situation by the end of the month.

While we are working hard to secure a new, stable, and safe place for him to live when he is discharged, we are faced with two immediate hurdles:

1. The cost of moving itself (first month's rent, deposit, hiring help, etc.).

2. He desperately needs a proper bed. For his health and recovery, having a safe and comfortable place to sleep is non-negotiable. We also need to get a storage unit to safely keep his belongings during this transition.

I have been doing everything I can to support him, but the reality is that I can't do it alone. It’s been a challenge to cover his basic needs while he focuses on getting better.

Seeing someone who has given so much to others now in a position where he needs a hand up is difficult. My goal is to relieve the immense stress he's under so he can focus 100% on his recovery, knowing that a safe home and a comfortable bed are waiting for him.
