Lend a Hand to Sally
Sally needs our help!
Sally suffered 2 heart attacks within 18 months. Due to complications from those episodes and previous cancer treatments from her 20's, she has had surgery to replace 2 valves in her heart that became septic. One is the aortic valve. Replacing 2 heart valves is a very specialized surgery and it took more than a week to find a surgeon that could perform the specialized procedure.
Sally had her heart surgery on Tuesday, July 13th. In the following days, she has been unconscious and on an ECMO machine to pump her blood, to give her lungs and heart a break. On Friday, July 16th, Sally is being transferred to University of Maryland where they have a specialize ECMO team that will monitor her 24 hours a day.
Sally has a very long road of recovery ahead of her and she needs our help and support. Please consider donating to help her with the medical bills associated with this complicated heart surgery and recovery. Sally has always been there to help us and support our dogs and now it is time to help Sally! If there are other ways you can help support Sally, please email Larissa and she will be in touch with you.
