Donate to Robb 'Baer' for Essential Car Repairs

I am organizing this fundraiser asking for help for my former paramedic partner Robb aka "Baer". Baer is the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He was tolerant of my paragod ego as with most of my partners, we did not get along initially. That was all me, I was a prove yourself type of person back then....It was not long before we were completely in sync and barely needed to speak on critical scenes. We had an over 2 year partnership and helped each other process the scenes that were especially difficult. Now 20 years later we still have each other back and try to help each other through the trials and tribulations of life.

Baer has not had an easy life, as a teen he was shot in the femur in a freak accident that left him with constant hip pain even with a full hip replacement. In 2008 his son passed away less than 24 hours after birth. Then in 2011 he suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), from a vehicle malfunction which left him permanently disabled. Since then he has been on Social Security Disability Insurance. But wait there's more! December of 2023 he found out that the hip replacement was poisoning him with chromium and cobalt so he had another replacement in May of 2024. During all of this Baer has maintained his work ethic and dedication by maintaining a part time job at Menards, as allowed by Disability. He enjoys the work, and they have worked with his limitations.

Recently calamity has struck again as in May of 2025 social security decided that his TBI was all better and discontinued his disability payments, this was 80% of his income. He was forced to give up his apartment and move in with family. Then last week the used car he purchased just 9 months ago blew a head gasket. The estimate for repairs are close to $4000. Money he simply does not have, nor is he able to increase his hours due to his disability.

If you are able to lend a helping hand to this former paramedic that has never asked for help, in fact asking for help is absolutely terrifying for him, please consider donating. I have faith in our First Responder Community and people who support First Responders to help this man who is way more comfortable helping others than receiving help himself.

Sincerely
Liza Elliott
