Lend a Hand to Rene's Family

My name is Rene and I am a mom of 2 and wife. I am a very caring person and try my best to help whenever I can.

This time I am the one in need of help. This is by far not an easy thing for me to do.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis. At the time it was a mild case and I was told how to control it. No seeds, no nuts and no popcorn. For the first few years it was fine. A few flair ups, some antibiotics and good to go again. About a year ago the flair ups started to become more frequent and lasted longer. In 2024 I was in the ER 4 times, given antibiotics and sent home. Around the end of 2024 things really started to get bad. By that time I was working from home and my condition was getting worse by the day. Yes, working from home is a good thing but you are constantly monitored with the time you are away from your computer. I still have my job and am on medical leave without pay. In January of this year I went to the ER 2 times. Was sent home again with antibiotics and that was that. Now it was to the point they antibiotics were not helping. There were days where I would be in the bathroom day and night vomiting. No matter what I ate (or didn't eat at all) I was throwing up. This made my job almost impossible and my life miserable. I was at the hospital 3 more times before I was finally admitted on April 1st. On April 3rd I had surgery and part of my Large intestine removed and I now have a colostomy. I have been out of work for over 2 weeks now and expected to be out about another 2-4 weeks. My doctor said this is by far one of the worst cases he had ever seen. I was covered in scar tissue and a 3 hour procedure turned into 6 hours. I am making a good recovery so far but and now worried about bills and rent. I am not asking for much, just enough to keep our roof over our head and the utilities turned on. Any help would be much appreciated and we would be truly grateful.
