Lend a Hand to Rachel and Her Dog Maya

Hello, My name is Maire Quinn. I am raising funds on behalf of my sister Rachel to lighten the strain on her financially and mentally. On 6/6/25 her fur baby Maya was rushed to the emergency vet after suddenly collapsing. My sister and Maya spent all night in the veterinary hospital, and as of the date of this posting are still there awaiting results and for Maya to be stabilized. Maya is my sister's rock, and like the kind and loving person she is Rachel did not hesitate and spared no expense to save Maya through any testing and medical care the vet recommended. Luckily, because of all the testing Rachel financed, the emergency vet has been able to rule out some more serious causes, but we are still waiting for the root cause of this episode and subsequent treatment to be brought to light. It was discovered that Maya's blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar were all in fatal range upon her collapse. She is on the mend, and we hopefully await a diagnoses so this can be prevented/treated further. However, this has left my sister in a great deal of sudden debt, to save her best friend. The current total of the veterinary bills so far is around $9,000. We expect this number to climb as Maya has to spend another night in the hospital until she is deemed fully stable. My sister is a hard worker, she supports herself entirely in a city with very high cost of living and this large unexpected expense on top of the regular checkups Maya will need have weighed on her heavily. We are humbly requesting some monetary support for Rachel right now so she can focus on helping Maya recover, and taking care of herself during this time. Anything helps.
