Lend a Hand to Pam and Family
Donation protected
Update: Pam saw the ortho yesterday and was able to move to a walking boot. Despite this being great news, walking on it is causing a great deal of pain, and she is still needing the scooter most times to get around. Her spirits are good, however the medical expenses and everyday expenses due to being able to work less than usual are definitely stressful. If you are in a position to help or share this, it would be greatly appreciated. Even during this difficult time, she is talking about fundraising for others and lending a hand to those in need. Thank you to those that have donated thus far. It is much appreciated.
Hi! I am asking for help in raising funds for Pam Byers and her family. Right before the holidays, Pam slipped on ice and broke her ankle and fibula. At this time, she must remain off of it, as it's casted, until she returns to see the surgeon early February. At this appointment, she will find out if she still needs a surgical procedure to continue healing. Many of you know, Pam is a local business owner at Tribe Nutrition. Pam has raised countless funds for the Upper Perk community and has donated much of her time to support the local sports teams and community members. Pam is the first person to make you laugh or do something silly. Those that know her also know that she is probably the most stubborn person you'll ever meet and would never ask for help. She will probably try to kill me for evening making this (kidding). When various employees or community members have had misfortunes, I have watched Pam give everything she could to ensure that they had financial support but also a listening ear. While being a local business owner, Pam does not receive paid time off and ultimately is not earning income while accumulating medical bills for various appointments. I recognize everyone is struggling financially today, but if you are able and would like to help Pam as she gets back on her feet, it would mean the world to us. As Pam's niece, she helped me tremendously over the years and showed up without question when I had medical emergencies, car trouble, or just to be there to take me to the diner. These funds would be to help her with the day-to-day costs, business operating costs, and medical bills until she is able to return to work. I know many have reached out or stopped by to see her and bring her meals. I know she is eager to be back at work and has even been seen riding her scooter through Walmart and on route 100 (I know, I know).
