Paige began having severe abdominal and back pain in July 2024. After a few trips to the ER, many tests done in and out of the ER, and a few misdiagnoses, she was admitted in December and scheduled to have her gallbladder removed. Two days after having her gallbladder removed, she was still in a great deal of pain, and it was discovered that there was a complication and she would need another surgery to place a stent. This stent placement surgery would require a follow-up stent removal surgery. The placement surgery went well, and she was discharged on Christmas Eve.
A few weeks ago, she began having extreme pain again and ended up back in the hospital with pancreatitis. She received a letter from her health insurance company stating that they are denying claims due to the fact that she received "too high of a level of care." She is looking at a bill for 3 surgeries and several days of hospital care. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to help financially, could you please share this. Thank you so much for your time.
