Hi all,

As most of you may already know, someone dumped our kitties, Patches and Iris, across the street from our house a few months ago while they were at the young age of 5 weeks old.

We took them in and have showered them with so much love and care. They are our babies and I would do anything for their health and wellbeing!

Yesterday (August 15th) Iris was in her usual playful and goofy mood, zooming from one side of the house to the other. Within the span of a single hour, we began to notice that her breathing had appeared to become… heavy. We had her get checked and it was discovered that poor Iris had to be taken to the ER vet in Pittsburgh. She was diagnosed with a pyothorax, a buildup of pus in her chest that caused her to have fluid around/in her lungs and her heart.

She is going to be staying at the ER vet for 3-4 days to recover and the costs are sadly astronomical ☹️ we aren’t asking for much but anything helps !!!! Continued prayers are also needed for her little recovery ! ❤️‍
