Dear family and friends,

I'm reaching out to you today on behalf of my dear friends, Heather and Trent. 

They have both been hit with an overwhelming series of medical challenges that have left them unable to work. Heather has been diagnosed with several diseases including Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and, in 2021 was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery and radiation (and is thankfully in remission).  This has resulted in a serious accumulation of medical bills and regular living expenses that they are unable to cover. 

In addition to dealing with these severe health issues, their property was damaged by the hurricanes that hit Florida last fall.  Several items, including their roof and fence, need to be replaced.  While they carry homeowners insurance, the deductible for hurricane-related expenses is high and, as many in Florida have found, submitting a claim carries a real risk of being dropped from their insurance company.  So the burden for paying for these expenses falls on them.  They were also without power for over a week and lost all of the food that was in their inside and outside refrigerators.

For those who know Heather and Trent, you know that they are the epitome of kindness and generosity. They would do anything they could to help others in need, and now, it’s our turn to be there for them. They have been putting off asking for help for as long as they could, but the financial strain they are under is immense, and they need our help to make it through this tough period.

Your generous donation, no matter how small, can make a world of difference. It will help cover essential medical treatments, daily living expenses, repairs to their house, and provide a sense of hope and relief to Heather and Trent during this challenging time.
