In April of this year our dad Amor, went to the ER for stomach pains that didn't seem to go away. After multiple lab tests and imaging we were so shocked to learn that they found 2 masses in both his liver and kidney. Our dad was diagnosed with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) as well as renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer). Amor and our family were devastated by this news. He takes good care of his body through exercise and healthy eating habits. He works so hard to provide and support our family. Due to this painful revelation, he is unable to work at this time.
During our time of need, we are asking for your financial help. Kindly donate what you feel is right in your hearts. We humbly ask you to join us in faithful prayer and help our Dad continue his treatment at UTSW to fight the unbeatable odds of cancer.
Since he was diagnosed, we have been engaged in daily devotion with family members and friends. In one of our sessions, we came across this poem from the Daily Bread which embodies our Dad Amor’s perspective about his sickness.
"Cancer is so limited
It cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith, it cannot eat away peace,
It cannot destroy confidence, it cannot kill friendship,
It cannot shut our memories, it cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul, it cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the Spirit,
It cannot lessen the power of resurrection".
The Buloran family is truly grateful for your generosity and support in this challenging season. Thank you for all your love and continuous prayers!
