We are reaching out today on behalf of Jhonté, who at just 25 years old suffered a terrifying series of medical emergencies. Her life changed drastically after she experienced two seizures and a stroke that left her with weakness on her right side. She has since bravely fought to relearn how to walk and talk again. Every day she continues to inspire us with her strength, courage, and determination.

Jhonté is now facing another major hurdle: she is in urgent need of a skull replacement. A portion of her skull had to be removed upon her initial admission to the hospital to relieve pressure on her brain. This process is a critical next step in her ongoing recovery. Unfortunately, she does not have medical insurance at this time, and she's facing overwhelming costs for her care, which includes her hospital stays, essential follow-up appointments, and physical therapy.

Since being released from the hospital, Jhonté has suffered several additional seizures, and we are working to schedule her skull replacement surgery as soon as we possibly can. The financial burden of these unexpected medical events has made it incredibly difficult to move forward. We need to get this surgery scheduled urgently. It's a crucial part of her recovery and hopefully a way for her to stop living in fear of another unexpected seizure.

We are asking to raise $22,000 to help cover some of Jhonté’s medical expenses, including the down payment for her surgery and physical therapy until she is able to secure health insurance.
