My 65-year-old father, Len Massie (aka Ben Massie, aka Spider-Man, aka Spidey), at this point in time, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma. There are still numerous tests that need to be run, procedures to be done, fluids to be tested, and courses of action to be tried and taken, and he has a hell of a fight ahead of him. We, his family, will be behind him every step of the way and we are taking this head-on alongside him. Dad likes to say he is "Strong Like Bull" and that is what we all plan on showing.

That being said, we know that each person taking the time to read this has their own trials and tribulations, is fighting their own battle, and needs help of their own. We do not want to take anything away from anybody. What we are asking for first and foremost is prayers. Prayers for God to work through the medical team, to help guide Dad in the right direction, to help ease Dad's pain, to give him more good days than bad, and to allow us more time with him than we deserve. If you can include him in your thoughts and prayers, that is the greatest gift that anyone can give and we are forever grateful.

If for any reason you are compelled to want to give something else, that is why I have set this page up. Several people had reached out and wanted to know how they could help. The medical bills are mounting, and mounting quickly. If you have an extra $1 or $5 to spare and you want to throw it into this bucket, I am making sure that all of the donations go straight to Dad's medical bills, co-pays, doctor visits, treatments, etc.

Again, please let me reiterate, a donation is not necessary, it is not expected, and it does not indicate your level of concern, care or love. Trust me, it is not a testament to who someone is. This is just an opportunity for anyone who wants to do this to have the outlet to do it. No more, no less.
