Lemuel Carter (fondly known as LC) Madam Secretary’s lovely, badass Buddhist bodyguard has been through a difficult surgery and he needs our help. The operation in early January has left LC with months of recovery ahead.
Just today I learned that the infection that began in his foot, has damaged his nervous system and he will have to begin a grueling process of re-learning to walk.
I am setting a goal at $40,000. Although LC’s medical bills are presently covered, he does not have any income or compensation. There is no set date when he will be able to resume work, the earliest possibility would be around the beginning of next season. That means no income and now added expenses (assistance, transportation, etc) will add up quickly.
