Lemonaid73 Fundraiser for Ukrainian Family

My name is Dan Lemon and I felt compelled to start this fundraiser for a Ukrainian family that I've had the pleasure to meet and with whom I became friends. They are a young family with 2 wonderful and lovely children, a girl and a boy. The family lost all their property, house and possessions during a bombing by the Russians. They left with only the clothes on their back and a suit case of clothes each. It took the family over 40 hours to leave their home village. The trip out of the Ukraine was done with bombs bursting all around them. Fortunately, they all got out safely.

They arrived here in Chicago after living six months or so in England. A friend of mine sponsored the family so that they could come to the U.S. I am asking assistance from my family, friends, relatives and church organizations to donate so I can reach my goal to help this family get resettled with an apartment, furniture and a car.

I am a Knight of Columbus and feel strongly about helping people out through volunteering and fundraising. This family really hit a nerve with me about how fortunate I have been with my family, health and financial.
