Lemon Zesty art studio & shop recovery
Donation protected
I'm Monica, and I own a small one-woman art studio and shop called Lemon Zesty. Last night my studio was robbed and I'm raising money to help recover some of the costs.
I'm undeterred by this robbery and will continue on in the same location, but I will need to close my shop temporarily. My computer with all my files was stolen, along with other supplies. I cannot make products or fulfill orders. They trashed my place, peed on the floor, and generally made a mess of things. This is coming at a slow time of year for me and will make it extra tough to get back on my feet but I'm determined to try. I have the best customers in the world and I know they will bear with me as I reassess what the next steps are.
Along with my desktop computer and other items, I lost artwork which will take hundreds of hours to recreate.
A little bit about my shop, Lemon Zesty. I founded my shop after I almost died in a serious boat accident in the Amazon. I started drawing and painting while recovering from multiple surgeries, and I credit this creative outlet for helping me during what was a very dark and difficult time in my life. My motto has alway been "fresh art with a sour twist" because I love creating visual sarcasm. When I decided to be a fulltime artist, I named my company Lemon Zesty because I truly made lemonade from the lemons life had handed me. And I will keep on doing this, even with this latest setback.
I have shipped almost 10,000 orders on Etsy and have a perfect 5-star rating. I love participating in festivals, and am proud to provide my products to stores in Atlanta, LA, Portland and New York.
Thanks so much for considering a contribution. Every little bit helps!
